Korean Izakaya Miso 微笑韓國料理

I was happy to meet Stephanie for her birthday!  She quit her job some time ago and is taking some biblical classes. An admirable attitude and lifestyle. Hmm, what to eat? She likes Korean.  She chose Sam Mok Korean Restaurant 三木韓國料理 a few years ago. But recent comments say the food quality and service were so so. So, I searched......  And, I found the Korean Izakaya Miso 微笑韓國料理. The lady picking up the call for reservation speaks Korean or English. It's a good sign for authenticity :)

Korean Izakaya Miso is designed in ancient wooden style. Izakaya is a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small, typically inexpensive, dishes and snacks are served to accompany alcoholic drinks.  Korean Izakaya Miso's ingredients are imported from Korea to serve skewers, noodle, soup, etc. Apart from the delicious food,  guests can enjoy space and privacy as some tables and seats are sheltered behind wooden doors.

A appetizer combo was brought to us after we have placed an order. The tofu was smooth and rich of bean fragrance. The kimchi and turnip were refreshing and waking up our appetite.

Unanimously we went for beer (Japanese brand Asahi) and Korean style deep fried chicken 韓式炸雞. The chicken was gorgeous, crispy and tasty.

The skewers are more Japanese style. We took the pork belly, squid, asparagus, garlic and gingko. They are fabulous!
