Thai Surprise, Tin Hau

I was starving after happy shopping. We headed to an unknown Thai restaurant, Chilli Thai 泰出色 along the Electric Road in Tin Hau, to fill up our crying stomach. Ordering went straight ahead upon settling down, without wasting a minute.

For appetizer, we had a spicy and sour salad with pork neck. Fresh cherry tomatoes, onion, chilli flakes and tasty pork neck presented an exciting and long awaiting introduction to more fabulous food on the way.

Fried mixed vegetables with local Thai shrimp paste 馬拉盞, a hint of spice – cheers us up to be ready for more excellent sumptuous food.

Maharashtra Prawns, a mild red curry from a western state in India. Its capital city is well known, Mumbai. The curry sauce was creamy with a gentle hint of spice, not pungent at all and went well together with Roti.

Last came Hainan Chicken Rice. Chicken was tender and juicy. It tasted wonderfully with the sauces. Rice was fused with chicken oil and minced ginger. Super nice!

The menu also features Laksa. A Caucasian couple next to us trying their best to grasp the slippery noodle. I saw their eyes filled with curiosity and great satisfaction.

This not well known Thai restaurant is a nice surprise, very good food and at very affordable price. Three of us paid $312 only. A good deal!

Last but not the least; we walked across to the opposite street to enjoy desserts at Ching Ching Desserts 晶晶甜品. All of us ordered a milk dessert and shared a black sesame pudding. The milk dessert is silky and smooth. Sweetness at the right extent, not causing any fear to get fat. The black sesame pudding came with a sauce of the same taste, an intensive pleasant taste of the ingredient and perfect consistency. A beautiful full stop to the night.
