SHIKA Teppanyaki & Sushi 鉄人旨花

 

My colleague brought me to sumptuous Japanese lunch at SHIKA Teppanyaki & Sushi 鉄人旨花 after an interview.  At night, it offers Omakase and teppanyaki. Cost for one person is HKD1200 or above. Click here for the menus. Comments are excellent.   To try out the quality we opt for lunch, around HKD200 per person. Certainly, you can opt for higher end choices.

Shika 鉄人旨花 is located on the second floor of a building in Causeway Bay. Once entered into the venue, its soothing environment was a big contrast to the bustling streets, like a sanctuary. Cherry blossom projected a calm feeling.

We were presented a lunch menu. One can choose Omakase (around HKD800), sushi, eel with rice, and other combinations of teppanyaki prawn, scallops, abalone, beef, etc. Teppanyaki lunch sets cover also salad, soup, steamed egg, fried rice, ice cream and hand dripped coffee.  They are good value for money.

We both ordered teppanyaki lunch set. I went for prawn and scallops. My colleague opt for cod fish and beef. I picked prawn and scallops. Both mains tasted wonderful. We watched the cook preparing our dishes. It's professional. The presentations were gorgeous. The mains were nice and so as the side vegetables. They tasted excellent!

We were a bit filled up. There still came the fried rice. Beef stripes were added to vegetables, egg and rice. The fried rice was fragrant and rich of different flavours. 

To end the delicious lunch, we were offered ice cream and premium coffee. One can choose between 6 coffees, hot or iced, super-slight, slight or medium roasted. A jar of coffee and a beautiful Mt Fuji glass were presented for the enjoyment of the coffee. We remained at Shika for an extra hour to enjoy the fabulous ambience and chat.
