Lockeroom Dining

Carmen, Eva and I had dinner in November last year. Then new cases of COVID-19 increased significantly. The government announced 'work from home' and encouraged commercial / public organisations to follow. Entertainment venues, party rooms, beauty centres were closed. Dine-in at restaurants were allowed up to 6pm. Maximum number of guests per table was limited to two. Residents returning to Hong Kong must be quarantined for 21 days. So, we could not meet for another time for months. Until last night, we could finally had dinner together. It was nice, both the chatting and food.

We wanted to try Lockeroom Dining when we met last time but it was full. It was also full last night. We accepted to try their branch at Yu Fat Plaza.  The first impression was good. Lockeroom Dining features Arsenal. The place is more spacious and brighter than the main restaurant. Artificial grassland covers the floor. The venue is decorated with Arsenal souvenirs and signed jersey. Wanna have a look? Click here for Youtube video for the venue and sumptuous food.

The restaurant pays attention to each tiny detail. The serving plate is a little football field. And a football was platted on the teaspoons. The restaurant looks like an official Arsenal restaurant and welcome by all kinds of guests, older and younger.

Choices of dinner menu and A la carte were abundant. Dinner sets included pasta, risotto, different kinds of meat. It covered a green salad in a glass container, soup, garlic bread, main dish and a drink. Each dinner set could enjoy 40% discount of a dessert. We ordered two sets, an extra appetizer and two desserts. Sounds appealing?  Let's show them one by one.

Two dinner sets entitled two soups. But the boss was kind to offer an extra to us. It was naturally cooked.

The garlic bread was crispy and soft. We enjoyed it a lot!

The crabmeat mango avocado salad was beyond our expectation. The crabmeat was fresh, not from a can. I could feel a tiny piece of crab shell. All ingredients complimented each perfectly. Just it was a bit small.

Then came the seabass. It was companied by colourful veggies. Very nice!

The BBQ sauce Iberian pork won our applause. It was soft, juicy, succulent and delicious.

The two desserts were superb too. The creme brulee was a great surprise and delight. The decoration and taste appealed to our hearts and taste buds.

Souffle pancake was originated from Japan. It was once very popular in Hong Kong. The one served by Lockeroom Dining was soft and melt in mouth. It gave our reunion a perfect ending.

Last but not least, the tea was served in artistic tea cup and saucer. It brought us fond memories.
