Pho Bo 越萊

 

去佐敦shopping，由於正值午餐時間，所以一邊張望有沒有好地方吃飯，行經近九龍公園的廟街，見到有幾個人在排隊，望一望，是一間越南餐廳，店名叫越萊。在門外擺放了餐牌，咦，價錢很便宜！一個湯河也只是$34 ，還可以加錢加餸。檬粉也只是$36 ，同樣可以加錢加餸。咁抵我梗係排埋一份啦，大概等了少於10分鐘便可以進入餐廳。由於疫情關係，客人坐得很疏落，外面仍有人龍，我吃飽離開時仍有幾個食客在排隊。

I went shopping in Jordan. As it was lunch time, so I was looking for a good place to eat. I walked along the Temple Street (near Kowloon Park) and saw a few people queuing up. It is a Vietnamese restaurant named PhoBo. The menu is placed outside the door. Hey, the price is good bargain! A soup noodle is only $34, and you can add additional choices of food with a few Hong Kong Dollars each only. Cold Vietnamese vermicelli is only $36, and you can also add choices of food. Without a doubt, I joined the queue. After waiting for less than 10 minutes, I could enter the restaurant. Due to the pandemic, guests were sitting with distance. Inside was quite empty. But there were crowds outside. A few diners were still waiting in line when I left.

我點了蝦餅凍檬，蝦餅已經切開了，不用自己逐塊咬碎，很周到。有大概兩個至三個蝦餅，食落去熱、脆、彈牙，真是又平又正。檬粉份量剛好，餐廳提供已調校好的魚露汁，加入檬粉味道超凡。$36水準很高的檬粉還包括一杯熱飲，夫復何求？

I ordered deep fried shrimp cakes with cold vermicelli. The shrimp cakes have already been cut up, so I didn't need to bite them individually. It was very thoughtful. There are about two to three shrimp cakes. They were hot, crispy, and springy. The portion was fine for a light lunch. Pho Bo offers prepared fish sauce, and the cold vermicelli tasted superb. The $36 high-quality cold vermicelli also covered a cup of hot drink. Pay additional if you prefer a cold drink or a special one.

試過了檬粉之後，覺得肚子仍可以裝載多一點食物，便點了一個$18的拼盤。原來涼拌茄子上面有帶子和熟蝦，蝦也是彈牙的。還有春卷和雞翼，雞翼皮脆肉滑，味道超正。

After trying cold vermicelli, I felt that my stomach could still be filled with more food, so I ordered a $18 platter. Beyond my expectation, a cooked shrimp and scallop were placed on the cold eggplant. It worth much more than $18. And the shrimp was also springy. There were also a spring roll and chicken wing. The skin of the chicken wing was crispy and the meat was tender. The taste was excellent.

越萊是一間黃店，加上味道這麼好，下一次到佐敦一定會回頭再幫襯，一於食過番尋味。Pho Bo is a yellow shop. The food is delicious. Next time when I go to Jordan, I will definitely go back for another wonderful and value for money meal.
