Azores 亞蘇爾

Emily would visit Shatin and here we went for an impromptu dinner at Azores at the New Town Plaza. Wing opt for Azores. It provides a great variety of Portuguese / Macanese food. The first experience was superb and so as the subsequent visits.

We took a few dishes. The key ones are: African chicken, suckling pig, bacalhau cheese potato dumplings, spaghetti chorizo black truffle with shrimp roe. All were delicious. Nothing left. The only comment: use too often the French fries as the side dish in the majority of dishes. If it can varied with meshed potato, baked potato, then it will be fabulous.

Azores also provides set lunch and afternoon tea sets. A number of choices were provided. They should suit your appetite. If you want something simple, go for the pork chop bun. It's kind of Macanese signature dish.

Portuguese tart was much advertised, on the wall, menu, etc. But it is not comparable to those genuine Portuguese tarts in the mother country. One can forget it in Azores. The best Portuguese tart in my life was in Lisbon, the Timeout Market.
