Ahimsa Buffet 無肉食素食餐廳

My Western Union colleagues called for a lunch reunion.  It's nice to see them again.  Cecily picked a modern vegetarian restaurant (Ahimsa Buffet 無肉食素食餐廳) in Mongkok, on the same street of my secondary school, Queen Elizabeth. It is located next to a new hotel. The setting is not the elegant format but quick meal with abundant choices of food.  Shortly after 12 pm, no more empty table was available.  It is good that more Hong Kong locals are adapted to vegetarian food. Because of the crowds, food gone quick and therefore my photos do not show the fabulous presentation when they were just served.

Western and Chinese food are served. You can start from salads, deep fried stuff or warm dishes.  There are choices of drinks, nice soup and desserts. Our favourite is the deep fried sweet potato cake which we kept on refilling it.

Buffet lunch on weekdays and weekends costs slightly different, HKD70 vs. 80.  Dinner costs HKD120, 140. Consumption time is limited to 75 minutes. For our case, as the crowds left quick and not many people came at a later time, we could still enjoy our chat for longer.  It's a good meal and offset the meat eaten all the times.  I hope vegetarianism will be more popular in Hong Kong.
