Chateau Acqua 月下共酌

It was a short notice that Katherine will visit Hong Kong.  And I was lucky to meet her on the Christmas eve.  Where to meet?  Her office was in Aberdeen.  The closest mid-point for us is Central. Many restaurants in Central were full.  I researched a few options.  She took Chateau Acqua as the number one choice. And we had to leave after a certain time as they served a second round dinner.

The restaurant was a bit difficult to find.  The ambience was nice and soothing. Big windows receive light from outside.  Prices on the menu were high.  We did not go for the set menu as there were too much to eat.   We took oysters, a bottle of Rose and two main courses.  I want to say, all tasted wonderful.

The meal began with oysters.  We were recommended to start from the one with the mildest taste. They were succulent and fresh.  We seemed like drown in the sea and could not emerge from the seabed anymore.

The duck confit was stunning.  It was the best I ever had.  Good one was at Legend Concept, better one at a bistro in Central and this was the nicest.  We both enjoyed it very much.  Eating slowly with the hope that we could continue and continue.  But it did not turned out as a never finish dish.  The chef would be happy that guests liked his food so much.

The serving of the lamb is spectacular.  It stood up vertically.  Soft and juicy.  But it was huge.  We managed to eat all.   But the duck confit was still our more preferred one.  We had our dessert outside as we needed to return the table.  I would recommend to try here but not on festive days.
