Prince Dragon 籠太子

It was a fabulous lunch together with Daisy and Carmen.  Prince Dragon was recommended by Daisy.  It was an accidental find after her tennis play nearby.  Indeed, many new restaurants pop up in the area of Prince Edward these recent years.  Quality of them is good. For example, the dumplings and noodle places I wrote about some time ago.

Prince Dragon  offers dim sum at very reasonable price. Choices are abundant. The dishes we ordered were excellent and delicious. Abalone dumplings with pork arrived first. I could taste the natural sweetness and a bit taste of the sea from the abalone dumpling. Very nice!

Fish maw dumplings in soup were superb.  Fish maw was found at the bottom of the bowl, not within the dumplings.  The soup was so nice that I ate it all.  No drop left.  Ha ha!

My favourite is the 'No Fritters'.  Fritters in congee restaurants are deep fried elongated flour batter.  It can be eaten alone or dipped in congee.  I normally dip it in congee.  But the 'No Fritters' here should be eaten on its own.  It was crispy and wonderful!  And it's not oily at all.  How come?

Another surprise is the preserved egg shredded pork congee.  We could taste ginseng!  It was a completely new tasting experience for us.  The congee was infused with a dash of bitterness and sweetness of ginseng.  And it cost only HK$15.

We had some expectations on the seafood apple strip pancake.  But we could not really taste any apple inside.  The other dishes are beef rice roll, deep fried dumplings.  They were good but not as wow as the abalone dumplings and the 'no fritters'.

Prince Dragon is a good value dim sum restaurant.  8 dishes and tea charges for 3 people cost us only HK$163.  The ambience is nice.  Pastel green wall and cage lamps hanging at the ceiling.  The dishes were presented aesthetically and tasty.  Strongly recommended!  Perhaps, I'll bring my mom there soon.
