Madame Sixty Ate
27 July 2015
It was my birthday. My best friend Cammie and I had wonderful food with great ambience at Madame Sixty Ate in Wanchai. We arrived at a drink area where people can read, work with their laptop or just sit
down for a chat. A Philippine waitress greeted us with a big warm smile. We were sitting in an ample dining hall, most empty on a Monday night.
3-course menu cost HK$610; 4-course HK$665. We opt for the previous plus a bottle of Saint Emilion 2012 from Chateau Petit Figeac.
Most of the dishes at Madame Sixty Ate are very creative and different from the traditional or typical dishes. For starters we had pigeon duck terrine, foie gras orange tonic mousse and seared scallop chanterelles mushroom foam scallop coral tempura. The terrine was very nice and refreshing. The scallop was delicious.
Our mains were seabass and Iberico pork shoulder cotechino wine trotter gnocchi & black garlic. Hmm, they were less surprising than the starters.
It was a great day! A visit to PMQ, purchase of a handmade ceramic plate by a school friend (flow+ living) and a new version bible. The day was ended with a sumptuous dinner with my best friend. Fantastic!
