Fisherman One 漁一


It was a nice reunion with friends from Aztec.   One of them explored opportunities in Melbourne and then returned to Kong Kong.   We were glad that she has got a new job that she liked.   As a coincidence her office is just about 10 minutes walk from my place.   We four had fabulous time together, 3 to 4 hours with update, laughter, news, unlimited topics and of course, good food.

Fisherman One  漁一  was closed for some time and reopened, according to my friends.   Everything stays the same and with the same owner.   The almond pork stomach soup was fantastic.  It tells why it occupies the best prominent position in this post.  The almond flavour was very intensive and delightful.  The pork stomach was tender.   I wished to encore.


Crispy salty chicken was one of the signature dishes.  No doubt, we ordered one.  It lived to its name: crispy.   The other dishes took some time to ponder.  The one took the most time to finalise was between peach mayonnaise ribs and olive based ribs.   You can tell which was the final.  Yummy!


Another non-meat dish was steamed tofu with eggplant and pickled leave mustard 梅菜.  It was light and delicious.


The other vegetable dish was king vegetable and wolfberries in soup.  Crisp vegetables and wonderful clear broth.   Wolfberries are good to the eyes.


The last one, like a missing order, came very very late.   But it was one of the most delicious dishes.   Tender and juicy minced pork with water chestnut.  It's excellent to be eaten together rice.  All four rice bowls were empty.


Complimentary desserts were served.  Chinese cakes were free:  red bean coconut and water chestnut.   We were too full to taste carefully and appreciate them.  Extra choices offered between pineapple ice cream with herbal jelly 涼粉 and yam sweet soup.   I opt for the previous.   Refreshing ice cream!  It did not add too much weight, I hope.



We were all happy.  Hope the reunion will be encored soon.   Cheers!
