Hon Lin Restaurant 漢年茶餐廳

It's a rainy Saturday in May.  My sister, brother and I went to Union Hospital with mum to get the heart scanning result.  My mum had an operation in January last year.  2 artificial vessels were installed to facilitate blood flow.   Fortunately, her uncomfort was not due to issues at the heart.  We were relieved and headed to the nearby neighborhood, Tai Wai, for quick lunch.  Here we were: Hon Lin Restaurant.

The number one dish this restaurant is salt baked chicken 鹽焗雞.  The meat is juicy and tender.  The soul is the sauce.  I ordered it a few times, never disappointed.  It's the first time of my other family members dining here.  They liked it.

Another famous dish is pork chop in peppery salt 椒鹽豬扒.  The dish is good on its own.  Simply as adding soy sauce made it fabulous.  The chop was not greasy.  It's so inviting that one eats one after one unconsciously.

Since we are in a small group, we could order fried noodle.  This is fried flat noodle in Singaporean style 星洲炒貴刁.  Not sure if one can eat this dish in Singapore.  It's noodle with meat, egg, sprouts and seasoned in curry powder.  A bit spicy but still mild.  Even I, non-spice person, could enjoy it.  For sure, this restaurant can be re-visited all the time.
