Agnès b le pain grillé, IFC

It's a lunch hosted by my investment agent, at La Loggia Agnès b le pain grillé at IFC (international Financial Centre).  The ambiance is nice and cosy.  We were sitting in the dinning room at the end of a corridor, next to big windows.  Gloomy light permeated into the dinning room.  Expected a great lunch with sumptuous food.

Choices of appetitizer are:
Sea urchin with pumpkin mousse, graphfruit & apple jelly with caviar or
Seafood soup or
Salad

I went for the special, sea urchin.  It came with different textures and got my 'good' mark.  The outlook is impressive.  The food itself did not come with subtle different tastes but freshness is the win.

Main dishes offer sea beam, beef tenderloin with braised beef ravioli in forest mushroom & truffle sauce, chicken fillet.  Beef was my choice.  Medium rare became medium well.  The ravioli was a bit undercooked.  But the mushroom was good which added satisfaction and minimized disappointment.

Friends said the fish was overcooked and not fatty as expected, unfortunately.

The best part is the dessert, marble chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet and macadamia nut sauce. Velvet mousse with a fragile taste of chocolate.  Sandwiched in the middle is bleeding raspberry coulis.  The macadamia nut dressing is a fabuolous match.  Yum!

Hmm, I will come back another time.  I tried the other branch at Festival Walk before. The mussels were soft and delicious.  Perhaps, the picks at IFC are not among the signature dishes.  Preparation of mass dishes is always difficult.
