La Taverna

La Taverna is an everlasting Italian resturant. It was opened in 1969 and remains till today, still a favourite of food lovers.  It does not go fusioned but maintains its traditional cooking to delight its guests with superb Italian cooking.  All dishes are prepared with high standard and leave a trace somewhere in your memory, a wish to go back from time to time.  Bravo!

The ceiling is decorated with base basket designed for olive oil.  What a nice and symoblic idea of putting the best national product in the design and makes it unique.

I came here with Connie a few years ago.  My memory is the easy drink Chianti Classico.  This time, clearly, the seafood soup served in a enormous shell, elegant and tasty and unforgettable.  Fresh ingredients mingled with the tomatoes. Awesome!!!

All dishes are good.  Ceasar salad - yummy and crispy Roman lettuce.  Carmen loves Ceasar.  It impressed her very well.  From the first dish on she repeated a few times that she would come back.  Good choice from me.  Ha ha!

Rich and flavoured pizza with numerous outstanding ingredients.....

Seafood Risotto is like an encore of the seafood soup but different texture.  Cheers, unfortunately without any wine.

A good meal ends with dessert.  Why not? Tiramisu!  A nice surprise, such good food cost around HK$250 per person.
